Wes D
Wes has been tattooing since September of 1994.He started out at “Stylin Tattoo” and soon moved to “Club Tattoo” in Tempe, Arizona. He’s worked his way across the country, for such shops as “World Famous Tattoos by Carl Hesse”, “BodyGraphics” of Philadelphia, “Psycho Tattoo” & “Sacred Heart”, both in Atlanta.
After having done several guest spots along the way, he finally settled in Melbourne, Florida where he can concentrate on his art and hone his fishing skills.
Wes enjoys doing large scale custom tattoos of all styles. He has been published in many major tattoo publications and is a familiar face on the convention circuit.
Lisa Murphy
Lisa Murphy has been tattooing professionaly since Febuary of 2001. She started her apprenticeship informally with Wes, who introduced her to Tony Olivas of Sacred Heart Tattoo in Atlanta, Ga. where she would finish her apprenticeship and worked up untill January of 2002. She is developing quite her own style of art. She pulls inspiration from a vast number of tattooers and painters and is on the way to making a very good name for herself.
Bryant Mickler
Bryant has been tattooing for 15 years. He started in Georgia and quickly learned his craft and art. He had many years of airbrushing under his belt before he began to tattoo. And the transition was quick. He eventually became the manager of Psycho Tattoo in Sandy Springs Ga. where he and Wes worked together for almost 2 years. As luck would have it, he relocated to Florida about the time a spot opened up with ATG. After some coaxing (showing him how close we are to the beach!) he decided to make the move to the move to Melbourne and settle into the easy beach life where he daily shares his art and his wisdom with those lucky enough to sit in his station.
Joey Deal
Joe has been apprenticing with us for a long time now and has made huge strides towards becoming a great tattooer. He has a background in graffiti and stencil work. And he has a great passion for being live shark bait as well (surfing). He constantly has sand in his hair and a passion for learning. This kid is going places. Keep an eye on him and his work.
Alex Wilson
Alex has been tattooing for over 10 years in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. He is our newest member of Against The Grain Tattoo. He enjoys doing all styles of tattooing and irish yoga. He is available for appointments or walk-ins (time allowing) on Tues. and Weds. He is an avid shark baiter as well (surfer), and spicy food enthusiast for those of you that like to cook for your artist! We are excited to have him aboard.
